Jerome is STILL a Dishonest Hack

I’m not entirely sure why I bother going to MyDD anymore (no offense to Jonathan Singer and Todd Beeton who are actually pretty honest and even handed in their analysis).
Obama up 56-42, by 14 percent, with 55% of the votes counted in North Carolina. Clinton up 52-48, by 4 percent, with 73% of the vote counted in Indiana. This is a win by Obama on the expectation level. The MSM has counted it as such, he took more delegates, and added to his popular vote total. No doubt, the scales were tipped to Obama’s advantage on the expectations tonight. Obama’s team expected to win Indiana, according to their spreadsheet, and North Carolina was an expected Obama blowout, a month ago. But the stakes changed, and that’s been to Obama’s advantage.
Does anyone notice that Jerome is using two very separate measures of “expectations” to gauge what was “supposed” to happen tonight? If Jerome wants to go by Obama’s spreadsheet, it’s true they overestimated his support in Indiana by about 10 delegates (depending on how the final numbers go), yet they, in fact, understated their own support in North Carolina by *drum roll* ten delegates. So by Obama’s delegate projection, he underperformed in Indiana by ten, but overperformed in North Carolina by ten.
Now, if you look at it by the polls leading up to Indiana, according to Pollster Clinton had a 4.2% lead and according to RCP she had a 5% lead, her final margin was 2%. Now, in North Carolina, Pollster showed Obama leading by 7.3% and RCP showed an 8% lead, his final margin was 14%. So what’s the lesson for today? Jerome Armstrong can’t be trusted to be an honest broker.
UPDATE: I mentioned above that I have respect for Todd Beeton, and wouldn’t you know it, he proves exactly why I feel that way about him.
