Things are looking very good for the Democratic Party. We’re holding all our seats by double digit margins. We’re up by double digits in VA, NH, and NM. AK, CO, and MS are tossups. We’re down 4-5% in TX, NC, and OR. And we’re only down 10% in ME and MN. That’s 11 seats that are already highly competitive. And we’re talking about Obama country for most of these states – nearly all will benefit strongly from having Barack Obama at the top of the ticket. Obama won 7 of these 11 by double digits, I expect he’ll do the same in Oregon, and the other 3 were virtually tied. If Franken can get his groove back, and Allen continues making progress, and the other contenders improve slightly (thanks to the DSCC’s huge money advantage), we could seriously be looking at giving Obama a veto-proof majority for party-line issues. Just what the doctor ordered for Health Care and Iraq!
You can see somewhat older polls for states like Oklahoma, Montana, and Idaho on the Senate Polls 2008 page from the sidebar.

Unbelieveable! No sooner do I post this than a new poll comes out showing us down only 12 points in Kansas! Another state Obama won by double digits – now, imagine Obama takes Sebelius as his running mate… 62 seats???

Once Josh Lanier launches the new Personal Control Center on the website,
http://www.joshlanier.com, I look for him to rise in the polls, significantly.
The new Personal Control Center should be up sometime this week, and is certain to be an active online community. Keep checking http://www.joshlanier.com!
